Episode 1 — The Other Half was uploaded on October 2, before its October 15 share. The complete player runs about 6:58. The series begins in an alternate October 1917, after two centuries of war.
At night, Angels test soldiers’ bones with silver hammers and carry selected people to the Spire, a porcelain city occupied by an apparently deathless aristocracy. Trench runner Klara Brandt has received notice that her brother Emil has ascended. Unlike the others, she wants to be taken.
Why it matters
The fantasy rule creates the motive and the danger at once. A soldier’s longing reverses an ordinary survival story: the thing everyone fears may be her route to someone she loves. Porcelain is therefore more than an attractive surface treatment; it links bodies, privilege and the cost of escape.
This extends Vołkaŭ’s recurring interest in institutions that classify people and regulate access to another world. It remains distinct from his comic municipal stories and does not inherit their production claims. Dreamina is named in the maker’s reply, with exact models and a full crew still unknown.
The original expanded description, chapter structure, playback, sampled scenes and release artwork were checked. No complete critical viewing or independently verified historical reconstruction is claimed.
October 26 — Episode 2: Newsreel
The complete Newsreel was uploaded October 25 and runs 9:28. It now supplies this series entry’s artwork, while The Other Half remains linked as Episode 1 at 6:58. These are separate episode lengths, not a season total.
The Spire makes Klara the heroine of a silent propaganda film. Her spoken warning can be removed, but blinking offers another route to the trenches. The porcelain rule now becomes a filmmaking problem inside the story: an image can be staged and captioned by those in power, yet still carry a signal they fail to recognise.
The full original description credits Daniił Vołkaŭ and identifies Episode 2. It supplies no new exact model, voice, crew or cost inventory. Episode 1’s Dreamina reply remains scoped to that earlier release. Full description, available automatic captions, current playback and sampled scenes were checked; no full critical viewing is claimed.
