Why this film matters
Devoured (삼킬수록) builds horror out of familiar, unglamorous places. Each segment takes a space in a Korean city and turns it grotesque, and the organiser’s synopsis stresses colour as structure: clinical whites, blue light, dreamlike reds and murky greens. The idea that what you consume ends up consuming you gives four very short pieces a shared moral and visual logic.
Summer Pause released the omnibus as a single vertical video. The makers report wins in the AI micro-series category at WAIFF Seoul and at the WAIFF 2026 finale in Cannes, which the organiser’s prize list confirms as Best AI Micro-Series.
Production evidence
The credits come from the makers’ own release. Son’s account of a two-person, few-day production is attributed as his claim. The specific models and the budget remain undisclosed. The journal has not watched the complete film.
