Why this film matters
Listen to Meh grows a short film out of one absurd image: a sheep standing on the roof of a rural house. The maker’s description frames it as a dialogue-free visual comedy about obsession and control, in which a gaucho fights a problem before he understands it, and which shifts toward something more emotional once the reason behind the sheep’s behaviour is revealed. Telling that turn without words puts the weight on staging, framing and continuity between one man, one animal and one house.
It won first place at the 2026 Higgsfield Global Film Festival. Purga Studio, a Buenos Aires studio that otherwise makes commercials, presented it as its first fiction short.
Production evidence
The studio’s description sets out a workflow of reference design, shot planning, video generation, sound design and editing, and the Higgsfield project records its generation counts and leading video model. Those are the maker’s and platform’s accounts, not a complete tool inventory. Exact models beyond the platform record, the full team and the budget are unknown. The journal has not watched the complete film; this entry is based on the release description, the project page, press coverage and official artwork.
