Why this series matters
The anthology returns to a recognisable dramatic problem through different worlds: a system offers protection, pleasure or improvement, then takes control of the person accepting it. MindPods turns immersive entertainment into a question about memory and agency; Hate? makes restricted vocabulary a political instrument. You’re Burning Fat shifts the bargain into compulsory physical improvement, while The Human Equation confronts extreme wealth with a game of personal reckoning.
The sustained body of work matters as much as any individual generated image. Six complete stories let different directors test dialogue, action and revelations within a shared anthology identity. The original credits also make the collaboration visible: this is not six films all directed by the channel owner.

Credits and production boundaries
Expiration Day credits Jeff Synthesized as creator/writer and Eike Swoboda as director and synthemator; Rosa Salazar and Ryan O’Nan are its named stars. Its executive producers are Trey Callaway and Jeff T. Thomas, with Kevin Tancharoen credited as producer. The music credits name Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto and Photek. Echo Chamber separately credits Jeff as writer and Eike as director; The Human Equation names Lion El Aton as director and Jeff as writer. Hate? explicitly credits Jeff with both writing and direction. The sparse MindPods and You’re Burning Fat descriptions do not establish equivalent complete individual credits.
Hate? names Seedance 2.0 through Runway; Echo Chamber names Kling without a version. These are episode-specific maker disclosures. No common model stack, total crew, budget or production duration is inferred for the anthology.
Festival result
Austin AI Film Festival’s October 17 winners list names MindPods / Jeff Synthesized in its Feature Film category. This is the festival’s category name; it does not turn the 26-minute episode into a conventionally feature-length work. Hate? is also in the official selection. MindPods carries the creator’s notice for violence, blood/gore and sexual innuendo.
Original full descriptions, current players, available MindPods captions and sampled footage were checked. This entry introduces the series and its production evidence; it is not a complete critical review of all six episodes.
