Why this episode matters

The dramatic centre remains a recorded performance while the surrounding architecture becomes malleable. That is a useful hybrid filmmaking problem: a transformation must follow an actor’s gesture and emotional timing, and the new room must still hold together when the camera moves.

Raphael describes a noir exterior reality and more expressionistic colour for Jekyll’s mind and flashbacks. Her production account makes room geography, reference plates and comparisons with the original take part of the directing process. The result is worth exploring as a performance-led adaptation, rather than treating generated scenery as a substitute for acting.

The released episode and its production record

The studio’s November 2 complete X upload runs 8:52. Its older production-story page still says “Released soon” and discusses an approximately ten-minute first episode; the current release player establishes access and runtime here. Only this verified episode is listed. No further released instalments are inferred.

The studio-linked thread reports $15,324 spent. A detailed allocation is promised, so that figure is retained as an attributed production claim, not an audited total budget or a measured saving against a conventional version. The same account describes conventional casting with permission for AI treatment and editing the performances before changing the images.

Original release, current playback, sampled scenes, studio production story and the complete available workflow thread were checked. Full critical viewing and a complete named cast/crew audit are not claimed.

02

Previsualisation and blocking

Philip’s studio-linked account says the shots were planned in Blender before warehouse filming. Claude helped map actor positions and lighting directions from above. Versions of Blender and Claude are not stated.

03

Edit before transformation

The team says it edited the filmed performances and timing before video-to-video work, then changed backgrounds and makeup after locking the cut. This places editorial selection before the expensive transformation pass.

04

Models and reference selection

The account names Seedance without a version for generating clips from which frames were selected, and Nano without an exact product/version for costume and makeup exploration. It does not establish an exact model for every final video-to-video shot.

05

Filming and relighting lesson

The maker says flat lighting on a grey set would have made relighting easier. The predominantly black-and-white treatment helped manage the lighting changes in this production.

Reported cost and consent

Philip reports $15,324 spent, without the promised detailed cost allocation yet published in the checked thread. The figure is not independently audited; its final cost scope remains unknown.
