Why this film matters
The story places sympathy and moral judgment in tension. A viewer can understand the protagonist’s wound without accepting his response. That is a more interesting performance problem than simply making a character look sinister.
Daubrez describes the film as a continuation of his work on consistency and world-building after KITSUNE. The original release post includes the film; its alternate Vimeo link was not accessible during this check.
