OMNI screens only in cinemas and follows every screening with an expert discussion. Its juries draw on established directors (George Miller for OMNI 1.0, Alex Proyas for OMNI 1.5), and its long-form awards are among the few that recognise AI narratives running from 30 to 80 minutes.
The organiser published its winners at The Collider in Sydney on July 3, 2026; a press release reports more than 3,800 entries. A Face Only a Mother Could Love won Best Picture, The Patchwright the Signal to Noise Award and Cornered the long-form Golden Storytellers Award. Long-form category wins went to HAYDON, Papernaught and The Living Corpse, with The Frozen Field taking the long-form Silver Storytellers Award. OMNI’s Golden and Silver awards are recorded as winners and runners-up. Further category winners include Le Drip, The Reckless Play, Lilies, Ici (Remix), Guardians of the Burrow and The Man behind the Cartoon. Three winners have no public release this journal could find. Further silver awards, Curators Choice and special mentions are on the organiser’s page.
OMNI 1.0 Iterations screened its winners in Sydney on November 6, 2025, with a jury that included George Miller; none of its winners are in the collection yet. OMNI also tours winners’ screenings, including Bali from November 6 to 8, 2026 and Tokyo in January 2027. These are screenings of past winners, not new competitions. The next competitive edition and its deadline have not been announced, and the OMNI 1.5 deadline could not be confirmed from the organiser.
