Why follow this filmmaker

Reply describes 2xLabs as a Chinese creative studio and collective of visual artists; Digitaling lists it in Shenzhen. Its 2026 festival work covers two very different registers. Centenarian Kindergarten is a near-future satire about four centenarians escaping enforced care. The Last Span is a roughly 17-minute folk fantasy about a girl, a river and a bridge.

The studio’s own Bilibili credits name Tian Junchao (田俊超) as supervisor and director of Centenarian Kindergarten, and the Astana festival credits Junchao Tian for The Last Span. Centenarian Kindergarten placed third at Reply and won its AI for Good Award. The Last Span won Best Story in Astana’s Open Competition. Credits differ by film, so named collaborators are kept on the film pages.
