These projects test two complementary filmmaking problems. Echo Hunter asks how an actor’s contribution survives translation into synthetic imagery. Chronicles of Bone asks whether characters, spaces and dramatic relationships can hold together across episodes.

That second question is particularly revealing. A series must preserve yesterday’s decisions while making room for new scenes. Cardoza’s published episode-three breakdown describes the mundane but essential work of matching a moving ship’s direction, props and lighting across cuts. The significance lies in this continuity of direction, not simply in the volume of footage produced.
